Yes, it is time to talk about answering the call to a nursing career, expressing and giving care, and commitment-motivation to continue nursing practice.

You have been invited here to participate and contribute to an innovation in learning: an interactive discourse among your colleagues meant to enrich your career. This is a self-study adventure, much like a seminar class. Here you will read course content based on the given outline and objectives and respond in ways that enlarge upon the information because of your perspectives and your experience. You are invited to type your comments in the reply boxes so as to contribute your opinion, suggestions, stories, life examples, understanding.

This is a blog. Dialog of this sort at a time like this when awareness of overwhelming patient needs, shortage of nurses to meet demands, and concern about rising health care costs brings about tension in the workplace is healthy and restorative. Build community by joining in around the topic of the “soft” science of nursing practice from your worldview as student or graduate nurse. We can all learn from this conversation. And as this blog grows you can expect the outline of its content to develop into something reflecting your creativity.

Audacity blog is moderated before comments are posted to protect the integrity of the community here. Comments may be posted on every page you visit. You may begin your experience by clicking on the link above entitled “Nursing Practice Trilogy.”
